Power Scraper Pro is designed with privacy as a priority. We want to be clear about what we do not do:

  • We do not track your usage or behavior
  • We do not store your media library information on our servers
  • We do not sell or share any data with third parties
  • We do not use analytics or tracking tools

Local Data Storage

All data processed by Power Scraper Pro remains on your local machine:

  • Media files: Your movie and TV show files are processed locally and never uploaded anywhere
  • Metadata: Downloaded metadata and artwork are stored locally in your library folders
  • Preferences: App settings are stored locally on your Mac using standard macOS preferences
  • Database: The app's SQLite database is stored locally and contains only information about your media library

Third-Party Services

Power Scraper Pro connects to the following third-party services to fetch metadata:

  • The Movie Database (TMDB): Used to retrieve movie and TV show metadata, ratings, and artwork. Your API requests are made directly to TMDB's servers. Please review TMDB's Privacy Policy.
  • Fanart.TV: Used to retrieve additional artwork. Please review Fanart.TV's Privacy Policy.

When using these services, only the title information necessary to find matches is sent. No personal information is transmitted.

API Keys

You provide your own API keys for TMDB and Fanart.TV. These keys are stored locally on your Mac and are only used to authenticate your requests to these services. We never have access to your API keys.

Network Requests

The app makes network requests only for:

  • Fetching metadata from TMDB and Fanart.TV
  • Downloading poster and fanart images
  • Checking for app updates (optional)

Children's Privacy

Power Scraper Pro does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13 years of age.
